Dragon Boat Festival (Duanwu Festival) falls on June 19, 2026. Yeshi Tech wishes all our global partners, clients, and friends a wonderful holiday!

The Origins: Qu Yuan
Dragon Boat Festival has over 2,000 years of history. Its most famous legend centers on Qu Yuan, a poet and minister of the Chu Kingdom during the Warring States period. When his kingdom fell to the Qin, Qu Yuan drowned himself in the Miluo River. Local villagers raced boats and threw sticky rice dumplings (zongzi) to protect his body — giving rise to the traditions we celebrate today.

How It Is Celebrated
- Dragon Boat Racing – Teams paddle dragon-headed boats to drumbeats; largest races draw thousands worldwide
- Eating Zongzi – Glutinous rice dumplings in bamboo leaves; sweet or savory
- Aromatic Sachets (Xiangbao) – Worn or hung at home to ward off evil spirits and pests
- Realgar Wine – Traditional protection drink
- Five-Thread Wristbands – Colorful silk threads for good luck
